This is the draft-report of the meeting of CCC on 11th May, more info will be added when official minutes are available.

Agenda for the meeting include:

1. Confirmation of last Minutes

2. Plan to publish quarterly Electronic Journal: The first issue of the E-Journal about Archives and Records Management Development, RTI, Training, Digital Archives, Compliance etc. will start as a 5 pages document written by Md. Lutful Haque, Abu Mokeram Khondaker, Elias Kanchon and Khaled Lezar. This journal will be published 6 times a year (2 by 2 months). Editor: Rokhsana Akter & Md. Shamim; advisor: Md. Lutful Haque.

3. Plan for celebration of International Archive Day 2015 (IAD2015): A workshop will be organized on 6 June and a seminar on 9 June at Prothom Alo office: theme is “Public Records is a Prelude”. The minister of Cultural Affairs will be invited to participate as is the secretary. Certificates will be supplied to the participants.

4. Miscellaneous: Need of specific archival training and how such training can be organized on a structural basis. Friends of Archives Bangladesh (FAB) can take the lead in organizing these trainings, ATIS Ltd. can operate as one of the sponsors. In this perspective these two should take the lead in organizing the next International Conference on Archives and Records Management (ICARM2016). Training material should be worked out in Bengali language, like “The Records of NGO’s” (ICA publication by Lutful / Azizul / FAB). All publications under “Friends of Archives Bangladesh” as FAB is registered as a member-organization of ICA. Next publication should be about “management of digital archives and records”.

What about the name of this new network / organization? Start with the “FAB” – name. As noticed FAB is a registered member of ICA and known by many archivists, records managers, historians, librarians, university staff and students in Bangladesh. Some preliminary discussion about membership of this archival organization: membership can be organized on three levels: General Members, Preliminary Members, Primary Members.
